Dialogues for Change (D4C)

In the fall of 2018, Fort Worth Sister Cities International, Wild Acre Brewing Co. and the city of Trier, Germany partnered to introduce the first-ever collaborative beer at the 5th annual Oktoberfest in Fort Worth. The brewmaster from German-based Kraft Bräu brewery in Trier attended and tapped the keg of the collaborative beer called Wild Acre Kraft Haus Lager.The goal of the beer project was to encourage and grow business opportunities between Trier, Germany and Fort Worth, Texas
Coventry Dresden Arts Exchange
Set up by two artists, John Yeadon from Coventry and Jean Kirsten in Dresden. The idea is to promote arts based partnerships between the two cities and they have organised several exhibitions including ones in Roots Gallery during Coventry Peace Festival 2012 and in the Johann Stadthalle in Dresden in September 2013.

Cross Border Contingency Plans for U.S.-Mexico Sister Cities
The concept of sister city contingency plans was established in 1983 by the Joint Response Team (JRT). Recognizing that chemical emergencies affect the local community first, JRT members agreed that subsequent planning efforts would be needed for the 28 sister cities – 14 in Mexico and the adjacent 14 in the United States – that could be affected by a major hazardous substance release. The sister city contingency plan program was created to meet that need.
